STORY BEHIND THE MOMEMANS ZYX PROJECT LETTER P: Pete + Pete
Pitter-patter, pitter-patter prances Pete, a prized puppeteer, plus Pete, a promising ping pong player–who happens to be Pete’s puppet parakeet.
“Please, please please, Pete!” the puppet parakeet pleaded repeatedly with his puppeteer. “If we practice ping pong persistently, we could possibly play in the Ping Pong Playoffs and become ping pong pros!”
But Pete, the puppeteer didn’t particularly have passion for practicing ping pong, playing ping pong, going to the Ping Pong Playoffs or becoming a ping pong pro.
Every time the Petes passed a ping pong practice place, Pete, the puppeteer, pretended to have people to see, some place to be or that he had to go pee.
“What a pity!” pouted poor Pete, the parakeet. “I’ll never get Pete to pursue my ping pong dream!” So, Pete finally stopped pressuring Pete.
But Pete, the puppeteer wanted to please Pete, his puppet pal and parakeet, “Want to put on a pumped up puppet show, Pete? May I propose playing…Peruvian pan flutes?! Plus…partner polka dot pantsuits…plummeting by parachutes?!”
And at some point, a panicked puppeteer’s lack of passion for ping pong, disappeared.
